The "Double-Time Pledge"

The "Construction Performance Guidelines" for the Ontario Home Building Industry areused by the Ontario New Home Warranty Program when determining whether or not a condition is covered by the statutory warranty.

The Guidelines provide objective and uniform criteria that set out the minimum performance required in the construction of new homes in Ontario.

They relate to work and materials deficiencies and complement the Ontario Building Code, which addresses structural integrity and health and safety matters. 

They also set a standard in length of warranty for a particular condition.

Our "Double-Time Pledge" warranty is very simple. We take all the conditions in the "Construction Performance Guidelines" and double the time allowances which apply to the length of warranty for applicable conditions.

And we give it to you in writing.
